Admission Criteria & Eligibility

  • You'll need to have a pre-intermediate level of English and above (equivalent to at least IELTS 4.0 or TOFEL: 0-31). You do not need to sit an IELTS test. Your English level will be tested on the first day of the course.
  • If you have a pre-intermediate level of English you will be placed into the Preparation for English Proficiency Programme (PREPP). This programme builds on your vocabulary and grammar knowledge through listening, reading, speaking and writing about academic topics.
  • If you take the Intermediate or Upper Intermediate classes you'll be able to sit the English Proficiency Tests at the end of the course. These tests lead to entry into either Foundation Studies, undergraduate or postgraduate university courses.
