English Language Proficiency
To gain admission into the esteemed University of Maryland  undergraduate programme:
If English is not your native language, regardless of your citizenship, you must provide the university with verification of your proficiency in English.
The Office of Undergraduate Admissions will consider all materials submitted in the application package to determine your level of English proficiency. The table below shows the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and International English Language Testing System (IELTS) scores that meet the English proficiency requirement and those that require participation in the Maryland English Institute.
