The University of Portsmouth is a university in Portsmouth, England. The University was ranked 60th out of 122nd in The Sunday Times University Guide. The University is a member of the University Alliance, a group of 23 major business-focussed pre and post 1992 universities. The University is split between two campuses, Langstone and the Guildhall site. The Students Union offers a range of sports clubs and social societies for students. Admission Criteria & Eligibility

You can be considered if:
 
  1.     you have Indian nationality
  2.     you have gained the required grades or equivalent
  3.     you are fully self-funded
  4.     you have applied for a course at the University of Portsmouth and your offer is unconditional
  5.     You have accepted your offer
  6.     you have fully completed the scholarship application form
  7.     you are willing to participate in current and future promotional activities undertaken by the University of Portsmouth 
    
You are a new student to the University of Portsmouth
To be considered for an undergraduate degree, you must have achieved an average of 75% or above in the 12 Standard (State Board) examinations or 70% in the Central Board.
A-Levels and International Baccalaureate are also accepted.
Applicants with a good Higher National Diploma (HND) may be considered for advanced entry onto a relevant undergraduate programme.
Applicants who have progressed from 10th Standard to recognised three year diplomas may be considered for entry to the second year of relevant programmes if they achieve 60% or above during their diploma studies. IELTS or equivalent will also be required.
Specific entry requirements are detailed on each course page. As a guide, for degree level study, you will need to have the equivalent of:
 
  1.     2 or 3 good 'A' Levels (GCE Advanced Level)
  2.     or a recognised Access/Foundation course
  3.     or an International Baccalaureate (minimum score 24)
  4.     or an EDEXCEL (BTEC) National Certificate or Diploma (Merit profile)
  5.     or High School Leaving Certificate, if it is deemed equivalent to 'A' Level Standard
  6.     Some courses have higher entry requirements, especially where they are recognised by professional bodies.

  2.     Personal Statement / Statement of Purpose
  3.     Proof of high school/college qualification and grades (officially certified and translated copies)
  4.     Proof of English language level (e.g. IELTS Certificate)
  5.     One academic reference on official headed paper
We accept 75% or above from English at year 12 level for all our courses. If you have a lower level then we also accept IELTS, Pearson and TOEFL and the required score will depend on your level of entry and your chosen course.
