University Of Chester

Established in 1839, the University of Chester is one of the oldest higher education institutions in the country.The University of Chester has been making history since 1839, when it was founded by such pioneers as the great 19th-century prime ministers, William Gladstone and the Earl of Derby, and a former Archbishop of Canterbury.Education qualifications remain significant and are now a fraction of the 420 course combinations on offer. In the 20th Century, the institution steadily expanded its student numbers and the variety and nature of its courses, which range from Animation to Zoo Management.The University of Chester now has 1,880 staff and some 19,850 students, drawn from the United Kingdom, Europe and further afield, particularly the United States, India, China, Nigeria, Turkey, Uganda, Pakistan, Ghana, Bangladesh, Qatar, Indonesia, Vietnam, Japan, Sri Lanka and Malaysia.

Admission Criteria & Eligibility

  • Successful completion of Standard 10 with 65% or Standard 10+1 with 55%
  • Senior Secondary School Certificate/Higher Secondary School Certificate awarded on completion of Standard XII with overall grade of 60% or above
  • 3 Year Diploma (from a State Board of Technical Education) with an overall grade of 60% or above.
  • Undergraduate: 65% or above when entire secondary education has been completed in English medium
  • IELTS : 6.0 (Min. 5.5 in each-sub-skill)
  • Trinity College London ISE : ISEII - Pass in all 4 components
  • GCSE/IGCSE English Language : Grade C or above
