Universite du Quebec a Montreal

The Universite du Quebec a Montreal (UQAM) is extending for two years a scholarship program that allows a student in the journalism program to round out his or her academic training through hands-on experience in the field. The student undertakes a six- to eight-week internship that includes travellling for at least three weeks in one of CIDA's countries of focus. The student reports back to the Canadian public on Canadian-supported development initiatives.Recognized for its openness, creativity and dynamism, the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) is a modern university with an international outreach. It welcomes more than 3,500 foreign students annually, from 90 countries.

UQAM is known for the quality of its programs, its research grounded in social concerns, and its innovation in the arts.

It offers foreign students nearly 250 programs of study, many of which are unique in Québec, Canada or North America.
