Admission Criteria & Eligibility

To gain admission into the esteemed University of California Berkeley undergraduate programme:
  • An international student should have SAT or ACT reading scores (600 on the SAT critical reading section or 27 on the ACT English section).
  • CBSE and ICSE students should have above 75% marks, IGCSE board students above BBB and IB board students above 27-29 out of a total score of 45
  • International English Language Testing System (IELTS) - a score of 6 or higher on the academic module or Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) - a score of 100 or higher on the TOEFL iBT
  • Minimum TOEFL Sub Scores: Writing:21 and Speaking, Reading, and Listening: 20
    Minimum IELTS Bands: Writing and Speaking: 6.5 and Reading and Listening: 6.0

  • The early decision deadline is November 15th and they will be notified by January1st
  • Regular Decision deadline is January1st and Applications sent after January 1 will be considered if space is available in the program to which the student has applied and they will get notification by mid March
  • The application fee at Syracuse University is $70
  • It is selective, with an acceptance rate of 51.3 percent
