SCMS started its journey in 2004 and what followed was a path of discovery, excitement and activities that has taken us one step ahead in our continuous quest for perfection.Devoted to excellence in teaching, learning and research at an early stage, we develop students into not only leaders but individuals with a strong vision to make an impact globally!The cafeteria approach adopted by our curriculum, gives our students an edge as they can pursue their subjects of interest and specialize right at an undergraduate level. The motto 'Vasudhaiv kutumbakam', which means, 'the whole world is but one family', is our Founder Director Dr. S. B. Mujumdar’s driving philosophy and for it, initiatives have been taken to foster an atmosphere of international cooperation in academics.

According to Business Today, India Today’s business magazine, SCMS ranks at 2nd best B-school in India in 2017 and also Ranked 2nd For the year 2016 By India today. It is not easy to get into SCMS as one has to clear the SET and have a decent score in their 10+2 exams.
Infrastructure
The infrastructure, like other institutes of the university is terrific, although a bit smaller in size compared to other campuses.  Most basic amenities and facilities are available at SCMS. Though, the library is a bit small, this is compensated by the big reading room. Students have been known to complain about the lack of many important books in the library. The campus and hostels are Wi-Fi enabled.  The hostel also boasts of state-of-the-art facilities. The canteen is also quite huge, and has a huge LCD TV for students.
Faculty
Though the institute is relatively recent, the able bodied faculty has gone a long way into making this college a successful endeavour.  The faculty at SCMS is a blend of youthful dynamism and years of experience.  Most of the professors are pursuing research degrees or Doctorate studies.
Placement
Placement Cell in our college caters to the employment needs of the students graduating from the college, which not only provides them a platform for an early entry into the corporate world but also equips them to build on the foundation of the comprehensive curriculum of the BBA Course.
The Cell started its operations in the month of September’06 with the object of placing the pioneer batch (2004-07) of the college, and continues to function for the subsequent batches. The cell is headed by Mr. Ashutosh Mathur and his team of students. His valuable direction has paved a concrete path towards continuous success.
The student members of the placement cell are selected from the second and third year batches after being put through a rigorous selection process. Placement Cell undertakes following activities:
Networking with prospective companies and then contacting them
• CV building sessions
• Training the students to equip them with the required skills
• Making presentations to the interested companies
• Planning the placement period
• Taking care of hospitality arrangements of the visiting recruiters
• Facilitating the recruitment procedure till joining
• Dealing with reference checks from organizations & any problem
