Campus

Location Information
Shaheed Bhagat Singh College is located in the famous Sheikh Serai area, and is a 10-15 minute ride away from Malviya Nagar metro station, which means it is counted in the South Campus of Delhi University. Although a number of students come by their own vehicles, you can always find more than a handful of students using the direct buses like 534 and 581 from the metro station.
Campus Infrastructure
While the infrastructure here is nothing to be too proud of, fortunately the students are quite happy. Classrooms are well ventilated, the fans work more often than not, and the computer labs are airconditioned. They have a functional library, but normally students need to search elsewhere for books. But a huge ground and enough opportunities to pursue sports ensure that students keep themselves busy.
Faculty Commentary
The college has Arts and Commerce streams, which means there is no Science taught here. SBS College is renowned for its commerce faculty, which students say is probably the best in Delhi. While that is, no doubt, an absolute exaggeration, it is safe to say that the professors are highly qualified and very experienced. The arts faculty is relatively just about okay, with more junior professors than senior, and they are way nicer to studious bookworms than average (rubbish) students. Grudges are held often, and can translate into lower internal marks sometimes.
Placement Cell
Placement cell of the college has a remarkable record. It is in continuous process of developing alliance with potential recruiters and inviting them to the college to provide them high quality human capital. College is equipping the students to learn about entrepreneurial and managerial skills to operate in challenging business environment. Placement Cell organised pre-placement presentations by recruiting Organization which is followed by the actual recruitment process. Some of Recruiters are:
  1. Jet Airways
  2. Axis Risk Consultancy
  3. IACT Global
  4. Smartican
  5. TCS
  6. Concentrix
  7. ICICI Prudential
  8. Grant Thornton
  9. PwC India

Others Crowd
The college operates in the morning as well as the evening, and there’s a huge amount of difference in the kind of people you find in either session. The morning crowd is rather ‘hi-fi’, as the evening students put it, and come in big, flashy cars. It’s Delhi, and rowdiness isn’t uncommon; every once in a while you would find someone making a nuisance of himself (or herself) in college. The evening crowd, by contrast, is far more down to earth, and students tend to maintain a comparatively low profile. The common factor about both sessions is that everyone is really friendly, but can be just the opposite if you get into their wrong books.
Others Hangout
The nearby cluster of malls at Saket is definitely the most obvious place for students to hang out. To name a couple of malls, MGF Metropolitan, Select Citywalk, etc.
Facilities
COMPUTER LABS
The present day need of the computerization, our college boasts of having all the infrastructural facilities in specific departments like Commerce, Geography and Mathematics. These departments have their own distinctive Computer Labs with all the modern facilities and requisite software to cater to the needs of the students. Further, library also has E-resource Centres for providing access to e-resources, in particular
SPORTS
The Sports Ground of college houses Basket Ball Court, Lawn Tennis Court and a well spread Ground for playing games like Cricket, Football and Athletics. The Sports Building consists of the Office for the Director, Physical Education along with a room being allocated for playing Indoor games and carrying out recreational activities. The proposal for landscaping of different Courts in Sports Ground has recently been approved by the Building Committee and the Governing Body.
CANTEEN
The college campus has spacious and well-ventilated Canteen building separate from the Academic block with sufficient seating arrangement. It offers different snacks, food, tea, coffee and other beverages to students and staff members at nominal rates. The Canteen Committee supervises the food quality, upkeep and its hygiene aspects. The proposal for renovation of canteen premises has recently been approved by the Building Committee and the Governing Body.
SEMINAR ROOM
The college has a Seminar room with modern 'state of the art facilities'. The college organizes seminars, workshops and paper presentations with active participation of students and faculty. Eminent scholars and experts from academic and corporate bodies are invited to interact with the students and deliver lectures.
LAWNS
The college has a well developed garden which provides a lush green look to the campus. It also maintains greenery for ecological balance and aesthetic look. Lush green lawns with blossoming flowers all around the campus present an exquisite view.
MEDICAL ROOM
One Medical room has been set up with a professional nurse to provide first aid and other medical facilities to students as well as to staff members.
BANK
Campus has a functional branch of Union Bank of India for the purpose of providing in-house banking facilities to students and staff members.
