RAK Medical & Health Sciences University

RAK Medical & Health Sciences University College of Dental Sciences was started in 2007; it aims to provide a quality education that ensures an enriching future for its dental graduates and fulfils the oral health needs of the community. The first batch of students has graduated in 2012. At the RAK College of Dental Sciences, emphasis is on comprehensive oral care and community based preventive dental programs. The college has a diverse, highly qualified, and friendly international academic staff. The physical resources at RAKCODS are modern and up to date. The College and the RAK Medical and Health Sciences University provide access to a well stocked library, patient simulation units, prosthetic laboratories, a multipurpose laboratory, computer laboratories, and other learning resources. In addition, students are provided with counselling services, accommodation, and facilities for sports activities. Two government hospitals are attached to the RAKCODS for the training of students in hospital dentistry. The five years curriculum has been designed to follow a system wise, integrated, and problem based approach to medical science. It integrates basic sciences to clinical sciences and enables students to apply their knowledge to health care and develop a professional approach to the analysis and management of health care.
