Parul University

Parul University was established under Gujarat Private University Act 2009, vide a bill passed by the Government of Gujarat on 26th March 2015 giving University status to Parul Group of Institutes run by Parul Arogya Seva Mandal Trust. Parul University is an amalgamation on 28 Institutes offering 100+ programs in Engineering & Technology, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Homoeopathy, Ayurveda, Architecture, Management, Business Administration, Computer Application, Fine Arts, Social Work and Vocational Education at Diploma, Under Graduate, Post Graduate & Doctoral Level in a 150+ acre modern infrastructure equipped campus housing 25000+ students, 300+ International Students from 26 Different Countries, 2000+ faculty members & providing in-campus residential facility to 7000+ students making it India’s Premier Multidisciplinary University. Well, it is also the only campus in Gujarat to have 109 faculty members from reputed organizations such as IITs & NITs.

Library Facility
Parul University has 10 libraries with more than 24,000 books, 15825 online journals/magazines, 1315 print journals/magazines, 30 news dailies,Reference Section contains Encyclopedias, books on General Knowledge and Competitive Exams, Dictionaries, previous volumes of journals/magazines and Remote access to thousands of libraries through DELNET and also to various reference & plagiarism softwares. All libraries are linked to the central library “Gyanoday Bhawan” and are fully computerized with Barcode system for issue & return of Books. More than 20,000 students avail Book Back Facility every year from the these libraries at the campus.
Hostel Facility
Parul University has established in-house residential complex with separate provision for boys and girls with a capacity of accommodating 7000+ students. All hostels have 24 hour water (timely hot water in winter), electricity supply, WiFi etc. On campus amenities such as Gymnasium, Swimming Pool, Open Air Theatre, Banking Service and Hospital are also available to the students. Separate hostel blocks for NRIs & International students equipped with Air Conditioner & other modern facilities are also available. There are five messes on campus which serve homely Breakfast, Lunch, High Tea & Dinner to the hostel residents.
Computer & Internet
System Support Cell provides access to technology resources on campus through a variety of computer labs, classrooms and IT offices. The world-class infrastructure created on the Institute’s hundred-acre campus provides an ambience conducive to stimulating learning. The architecture, the classrooms, the library, the computing facilities, research centres, all blend to provide a holistic learning environment. A state-of-the-art computer network with adequate number of nodes connects all the members of the Institute community with each other. This network has fibre optics backbone with one or more fibre segments reaching every building on the campus. There are high end manageable network switches & firewall which handle the internal data traffic. Every workplace on the campus including student rooms in dormitories, faculty offices, classrooms, management development centre, computer lab, student hostels, and administrative offices has network connectivity. Using long range Ethernet technology, faculty /staff residences have been also provided network connectivity to the Institute’s Intranet. The Institute has put a wireless layer (Wi-Fi) on top of this highly dense network with high level of security using username password based authentication.
Classrooms
Parul University Infrastructure Facilities include naturally lit spacious classrooms with Audio-Visual facility with OHPs & PA systems, ergonomically designed benches with theatre type setup, well equipped laboratories, Wi-Fi facility, White Boards, Soft Boards, demonstration area etc. making the teaching learning process in the classroom interactive & exciting.
Sports Facility
Since the inception of Parul University, students have been encouraged to participate in various indoor & outdoor sports activities throughout the year. Facilities such as Cricket Ground, Basketball court, Volleyball Court, Hand Ball Court, Badminton court, Football Field, Table Tennis, Chess, Carom etc are available for the students on campus. Our students have brought laurels by winning many intercollegiate sports tournament under the guidance of dedicated team of Physical Instructors. Annual indoor and outdoor activities / competitions within the university are also organized to provide strong platform to our students to showcase their sporting abilities.
Cafeteria
Hygienic, Homely & Healthy Food for the day scholars & resident students is a top criteria for the management of Parul University. All hostels have spacious dining halls & messes which serve breakfast, lunch & dinner as per the daily menu with special diet on Sundays. Moreover, there are Food Courts & College Canteens where students can go for tea, coffee, cold drinks, ice cream, snacks and different varieties of food throughout the day.
Placement Comment
At Parul University, the Training & Placement cell emphasizes extensively on the training aspect of the students right from the first year itself. Designing of the training module is done with utmost diligence taking into consideration the requirements and expectations of the industry from the students before they join the organisation.
In 2015, we have hired the best of training houses (which provides training in Elite Institutes across the country) for imparting training to the students from first year. The students are trained on overall perspective starting from their;

and lot more. The training modules on all the above aspects are purely experiential so that the students learn through execution rather than just through theoretical concepts. Advanced trainers train the students in a workshop module at regular intervals, which is later on taken over by our internal training team through Career and Development Cell (CDC) on daily basis. The performance of the students in these trainings is evaluated through internal and external exams and the results of which helps students to earn credits in their overall semester results. This not only helps students to improve their overall semester performance but eventually also helps them to get a good job or prepare for competitive exams in the final year. In the Prefinal & final year the training majorly focuses on preparing the students for clearing the campus placement process which usually comprises of Online/written test (aptitude & technical), Group discussion and Technical as well as HR interview.
