PSG College of Technology

PSG College of Technology is affiliated to Anna University. It is situated at about 8 km from Coimbatore Railway Station and 5 km from Airport at Peelamedu in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. It offers around 22 undergraduate courses in various fields such as Art & Design, Computer Science, and Engineering. The college is an ISO 9001:2000 certified institution founded by the PSG & Sons' Charities Trust in 1951.

Admission into the college is as per the norms of the Government of Tamil Nadu. Selection is done through single window counselling by Anna University, Chennai, as per ranking based on the total marks obtained in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. The college has received several prestigious projects and international funding support.

Ranking Explanation
The College Ranked as 33rd & 29th Position in the categories of Business Management & Engineering By NIRF For the year 2018. The college was ranked 13th among Engineering and Technology colleges in India by the India Today magazine in the year 2017. It has moved one place up from its previous year’s ranking of 14th. It has been ranked among the top 25 since 2017 by Outlook. 
Campus
The college offers residential accommodation to around 4000 students. There are 7 boys’ hostels and 2 girls’ hostels. A guesthouse caters to the requirements of the guests and visiting faculty of the college. The college library has a large number of books, back volumes and journals. The college also has an open-air stadium for sports activities. In addition, the campus has a computer centre, a lecture hall complex, seminar halls, laboratories, a CAD/CAM centre, a PSG centre for non-formal and continuing education, PSG-Science and Technology Entrepreneurial Park (PSG-STEP), VLSI Design Centre, health care centre, etc.
Placements
The placement office, functions in a separate air conditioned block with state-of-the-art facilities for conducting Pre Placement Talk, Written Test, Group Discussion and Interviews and has steadily progressed over the years in enhancing the placement potential effectively. It plays a very important and key role in counseling and guiding the students of the college for their successful career.
More than 90 reputed National and Multinational companies visit our institution for campus recruitment annually. Our institute has very impressive placement record. PSG College of Technology is ranked one among the top fifteen National level technical Institutes, in terms of number of students receiving placement offers from reputed organizations from all over the country. 
The college has an independent placement office that caters to the needs of organisations in conducting campus interviews. The office is headed by a professor designated as Dean and is supported by a placement officer and a full time permanent coordinator. The office is also assisted by student coordinators who lead a team of placement representatives from various courses. More than 90 national and multinational companies visit the college annually. 100% of the students secure job offers before they complete their programme and leave the college.
