Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT Jaipur)

The college was established in 1963 with the name as Malaviya Regional Engineering College, Jaipur as a joint venture of the Government of India and the Government of Rajasthan, Subsequently; on June 26, 2002 the college has been given the status of National Institute of Technology and on 15 August 2007, Proclaimed Institute of National Importance through Act of Parliament. The Institute is fully funded by Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. More than 12,000 students have already been graduated since its establishment.

Campus

Campus Infrastructure
Extending into an area of over 317 acres of lush greenery, the campus of the Institute is imaginatively laid-out with a picturesque landscape. It presents a spectacle of harmony in modern architecture, and natural beauty which enthralls and inspires.The campus of the institute consisting of the institute buildings, halls of residence and staff colony. It is a residential campus offering accomodation to faculty, staff and students.The campus provides all essential amenities for community living like staff clubs, hospital, bank, post office, community centre, school, staff residences, gymnasium, playing fields, guest houses, 24 Hours internet connectivity, and canteen etc.
Facilities
The campus is organised into the following four functional sectors:
     •    Instructional buildings
     •    Central facilities
     •    Students hostels
     •    Staff colony
The instructional buildings are located at a walking distance from the hostels and the staff colony. The dispensary is managed by a team of Medical Officers and Compounders. The services of a part-time Homeopathic doctor and an Ayurvedic doctor are also available on campus. The canteen buildings are well equipped and are located in close proximity to the students’ hostels.
Canteen:
One canteen near the instructional zone, another near the hostels and one Nescafe coffee shop provides refreshments to the students and the staff during and beyond the working hours.
Guest Houses:
There are two guest houses in the campus to cater the needs of guests and students.
Sports:
Adequate facilities are available for sports and games and for co- curricular activities.
The campus is well laid out with roads, electrical installations, water supply and underground drainage system etc.
Bank:
There is a branch of the ICICI Bank Ltd. and a branch of SBI Bank in the campus. Other reputed banks such as BOB, OBC, and PNB etc. are within walking distance from the institute campus.
Medical Facilities:
Full-fledged Dispensary is available in the campus. It is supervised by a residential Medical Officer. The services of a part-time Homeopathy Doctor and a Lady Doctor are also available to students and to the family members of the staff. 
Central Library
The library is spacious and well-equipped, having an open access system. It has around 1, 33,600 volumes of books, reports, periodicals, and reference material. Books are also issued by the college book bank to SC/ST students. Xeroxing and video viewing facilities are also available. The library is fully computerised and also has electronic resources for references. Students can also make use of internet facilities provided at the library.
Extracurricular Activities
MNIT Jaipur organises Neuron, a technical festival held annually at a national level. It is one of the biggest technical festivals in India. Over 10,000 students from all over India attend this event. The college also conducts an annual Sports Tournament. Blitzschlag, a techno-cultural annual festival held at a national level is also hosted by MNIT. It began as an intra-college technical symposium cum cultural festival in 2005 and attracts participation from all over the country. Other national level events include Electronica, Schrifftum, Moments, Zodiac and Taal.
Placement and Training cell
Welcome to Placement and Training cell of MNIT Jaipur. The T&P cell is mainly responsible for
  1. Facilitating Industrial Training, mandatory for UG (B.Tech.) curriculum.
  2. Inviting Companies/Institutions/Organizations of repute for placements of both UG and PG students.
The T&P cellcollaborates with leading organizations for setting up internship and training program of students.The Office interacts with many companies/industries in the country, of which nearly 200 companies visit the campus for holding campus interviews. These organizations which approach the institute come under the purview of: Core Engineering Industries, IT & IT enabled services, Manufacturing, Consultancy Firms, Investment & Finance Companies, Management Organisations, R & D laboratories.
Job offers, dates of interviews, selection of candidates etc. are announced through the Training & Placement Office.
