Madras Christian College has a College Union Society that cares for the welfare of the students. It is responsible for organising and conducting student-centric activities such as college auditions, intercollegiate cultural festivals, college and inter-department sport activities, literary and debating events, etc. The college also has a Scrub Society for the development and preservation of the botanical garden. NCC (National Cadet Corps) and NSS (National Service Scheme) units are also supported by the college. Two credits are awarded to the students for participating in NSS volunteering activities.
