MATS School of Physical Education aim is to train teachers in modern technology as well as trends in Health, Fitness, Wellness and personality development.At MATS School of physical Education, Students are prepared professionally qualified in physical education for secondary school education, The School of Physical Education, offers a one year course leading to the B.Ed. (Physical Education), which is equivalent to B.P.Ed. Degree. The School is recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education, Bhopal (M.P). The syllabus of the courses are so designed as to prepare professionally qualified teachers for classroom, as well as, for the playground. Its degree is accepted by the Government of Chhattisgarh and other State Governments in India for the purpose of appointment as teachers in for school, School and university. Having an independent building; the School has its own full-fledge Gymnasium facilities spacious well nurtured playgrounds (400 Athletic Track , Football , Badminton , Basketball , Volleyball , Kho-Kho , Kabaddi , Hockey , Lawn Tennis , Netball & Indoor Sports Hall) and Yoga, meditation, Judo rooms with modern laboratories. The University deputes teams of Sports persons of this School for participation in the Inter-university and other national events.

Hostel Facilities
MATS Hostel has strived to keep-up this motto that education and stay, should go hand in hand, “Preparing for life”. Our Hostel has pulled to form life-long friendship and remain small enough so that all students are known individually. Our staffs are trained, enthusiastic, motivated and committed to care for young people, extending the Hostel's theme of 'Preparation of life!' Our Hostel runs comprehensive proficiency programmes and we take great care in supporting all of our students' talents. We have students participating and succeeding in a diverse array of sports, cultural and academic pursuits. Parents of MATS Hostel students are welcome to get involved in every aspect of hostel life. Parents are kept informed about Hostel life of their children, with phone calls and letters. The boarding establishment provides an opportunity for young people to live away from home in a democratic way. Every effort is made to provide atmosphere of natural Indian family in which these young people can fully grow. They are guided for sound relationships with their peers.
Sports Facilities
Sporting activities display the liveliness of academic institutes. We identify sports as one of the most natural and important form of recreation. It is the best way to improve one's health and spirits that is essentially required to excel in all the aspects of one's life. We are proud to have such excellent sporting talents that have won glorious achievements at District, State and National level in different disciplines of sports.
Facilities for indoor games like Table Tennis, Carrom, Chess and are provided in the University campus. There is a fully equipped multipurpose Hall where Yoga, Martial-art, Judo, Karate, Taekwondo Classes are conducted for our students. 
MATS University is the only academic institute in Chhattisgarh State which has fully Air Conditioned Gymnasium. A well equipped and separate portions of Aerobic and Weight Room are the part of Fitness Center.
