Kristu Jayanti College

Kristu Jayanti College, founded in 1999, is run by "BODHI NIKETAN TRUST", formed by the members of St. Joseph Province of the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI). The college is affiliated to Bangalore University and is reaccredited with highest grade 'A' by NAAC in Second Cycle of Accreditation. The college is recognized by UGC under the category 2(f) & 12(B). The college was accorded autonomous status in 2013 by the University Grants Commission, Government of Karnataka & the Bangalore University.

Library:  The College Library is a gateway to a world of information. The staff and students have unlimited access to a wealth of Information found in resources like books, magazines, Journals, statistics, encyclopedias, annual reports and the Internet. In addition, the library offers spacious seating arrangements and a calm ambience for learning.  
Labs: Well equipped and state-of-the-art labs with updated technology is one of strongest assets of the college. Practical sessions provide authentic and current knowledge to every budding scientist. The college takes pride at its labs that harbours favourable nurturing ground for personal growth, research and social progress. The maximum number of graduate students who return for post-graduation itself is an evidence of the quality of labs that the college offers. The college has computer labs, bio-science labs, psychology lab, commerce lab, language lab and multimedia center to give practical training in respective field.
Sports & Games: Kristu Jayanti College is well known for its performance and achievements in sports and games. The Sports department coordinates the events which help students to perform well in all sports and game events at University, State and National Level. The Department in collaboration with many recognized coaches give coaching to students in various games like basketball, football, cricket, throwball, volleyball, badminton and table tennis. An outstanding state-of- the-art facilities to coach students and considerable investment every year to have quality equipments is a commitment the college undertakes.
Hostel: Separate hostels are provided for boys and girls. The hostels for girls are managed by religious congregation of nuns. As an extended home, the hostel facilitates the students to carry out serious study and to grow spiritually, intellectually, physically and psychology. The college tradition and discipline is also extended to the hostels.
Cafeteria: The college cafeteria is the pulse of the campus. It is a spacious area that provides a wide range of hygienic food at affordable price. It is a popular hub on the campus not only for the physical refreshment but also for student bonding and discussions.
ATM: SIB ATM provides 24 hr service. It facilitates easy access for students to carry out quick bank transactions.
Placements Comments
The Centre for Employability and Corporate Relations (CECR) has a process and set guidelines to make students more serious about the Final Placement Initiatives. Every student looking for final placements has to submit a Need Analysis Questionnaire, a copy of their profile and should compulsorily appear & clear the Aptitude Test paper of CECR to make them eligible for Final Placements.

The Centre for Employability and Corporate Relations (CECR) helps students in career planning through career counseling wherein they gather information about themselves in terms of their interests, aptitudes and abilities so that they can choose their careers more effectively. The Centre allows individuals to explore the world of employment and helps them to move from a general occupation direction to a specific one.

Through the Career Plan form, CECR will know the exact headcount looking for final placements, going for higher studies (India & Abroad) and planning to become entrepreneurs. The Career Plan exercise will be followed by separate training programs for students opting for Final Placements, higher studies and planning to start up their own business.

The selection process by the company usually starts with a pre-placement talk in which the organization gives the students insight into the company profile, job profile, CTC etc. followed by the actual selection process of written test/group discussion/interview etc.
