Indira Gandhi Technology And Medical Sciences University

The Indira Gandhi Technological and Medical Sciences University, Arunachal Pradesh established in the year 2012 at Ziro in the Lower Subansiri District under the provisions of the Indira Gandhi Technological and Medical Sciences University Act 2012 (Act 6 of 2012) was passed in the Eighth Session of the Fifth Legislative Assembly of Arunachal Pradesh and the same received the Assent of the Hon'ble Governor of Arunachal Pradesh on 26 May 2012. The Arunachal Pradesh Gazette (Extraordinary) No. 99,Vol.XIX dated 30 May 2012 published the Notification regarding the Indira Gandhi Technological and Medical Sciences University, Arunachal Pradesh.The University's main campus is coming up at Ziro in Hong Village in 150 hectares of land in a green environment gifted by the BMTT Forest Preservation Committee, Gano and registered by the Deputy Commissioner of Lower Subansiri District. Presently the University is operating from the District Hospital, Ziro and the SSB Campus IT Park for conducting Practicals and Theory Classes respectively.

  • Hostel:The Hostel provides a cot, a mattress, a tudy table, a chair, a book rack and a wardrobe for each student.All students are required to bring three passport size photographs for hostel admission at the time of counselling. Hostel fees and Mess & Utility Deposit may be paid at the time of counselling or registration/admission. Every attempt will be made to provide hostel accommodation to all students.Allotment made to a student is subject to cancellation if he/she fails to occupy the room in the prescribed time. Students will also forfeit their rooms of they fail to clear all their dues to the hostel by the appointed day. In such cases, they may be asked to vacate the hostel.Hostel accommodation is allotted purely at the discretion of the Chief Warden and on condition that the student agrees to abide by all the rules and regulations of the hostel. The Chief Warden may refuse the hostel facilities without assigning any reason or remove a student from the Hostel at any time on disciplinary ground.The Chief Warden reserves the right to break open rooms or wardrobe in case of any violation of hostel rules, suspected unlawful activities or on basis of security risk perceived.Hostel facilities fee refund is considered on monthly basis. Charging on daily basis for overstay beyond one month is not permitted and such overstay will be considered as full month’s stay. This rule will be strictly complied with and no representation from students will be considered. Students vacating the hostel must submit a hostel vacating form duly approved by the Chief Warden along with no dues certificate from the mess.
