IIAS School of Management was established in 1990. In the education sector, IIAS has established its presence with campuses in Kolkata, Darjeeling Dt., Goa and other centres planned in the near future. IIAS has constantly been expanding its footprint in the education sector over the past 2 decades.

IIAS School of Management was first started as just - IIAS (International Institute of Advanced Studies) to provide quality education and skilled manpower to the nascent hospitality industry in India. Established in Kolkata, IIAS has proven itself to be a real force in the field of hospitality education, with an enviable placement record and alumni in some of the top management positions in the hospitality, tourism sector. The integration of the Business school at its Siliguri campus has now made IIAS one of the preferred destinations for Management education in North East India.

Infrastructure & Facilities
The college’s infrastructure is modern with all well equipped facilities. Accommodation is available for boys and girls separately in the hostels and paying guest houses. Computer lab with broadband connectivity is also available in the college. The classrooms are cool, spacious and there are comfortable lecture halls with latest audio-visual facilities.a
Teaching Methodology
The teaching methodology adopted at IIAS is a blend of lectures, presentations, assignments and projects. The highly interactive mode of teaching uses case studies, role plays, group discussions, situation handling, seminar, presentations & internship. The faculty members work more as facilitators, guides and counselors, thus creating an environment of active learning contributing to personal growth and development. All classroom instructions are supplemented with practical training as well.
Placement

Placement in IIAS is just one of the meeting points that facilitates the exchange of knowledge between the students and the industry. It is a platform for opportunities where companies are invited to recruit students of various specializations and work experience. 

Potential employers are able to undertake on-campus recruitment through a stream-lined process of registrations, PPTs and selection. The students attend presentations, are interviewed and recruited for full time employment, part time employment, internships and Industrial exposure training.
