The Garden City University Act received the assent of the Governor of Karnataka on 26th March 2013 and was published in the Karnataka Gazette on 12th April 2013. The University Grants Commission has listed Garden City University in the recognized list of Private Universities in India on its website http://www.ugc.ac.in

Campus

Location and Campus Details
The college is located in the north-eastern parts of Bangalore and is quite far from the centre of the city. But reaching here is quite feasible as there is a good connectivity by BMTC buses from Majestic. Also, the metro trains currently available till Bayppanahalli will soon be reaching to college. So accessibility is not a problem. There are 2 campuses of the college which are on opposite sides of the Old Madras Road. Both are nice and are equipped with good infrastructure. The classrooms, labs, auditorium and library all are spacious and have got all required facilities. Both campuses are Wi-Fi enabled.
Campus Infrastructure
Library:
The library is the ‘heart’ of any academic institution. The library which has a collection over 34000 books covering relevant subjects including general books for all users. The Library functions from 8.00am to till 10.00pm on all days of the week including public holidays. Library provides wide range of services to support and enhance student learning at the campus.
Hostel
The college offers good hostel facilities to its students. Each student has the provision for storing valuables in their individual lockers. Besides, there is medical help and counsellors on call, saloons, internet stations, convenience stores, pharmacy kiosks, multi-activity playing grounds, laundry facility, power back-up, housekeeping, hot water for bath (6:00 am to 7:30 am), safe drinking water, study hall, stationery stores, gymnasium, free Wi-Fi and adequate security at the residential campus. ATMs are available for quick access to cash.
