Full Sail University

Full Sail University is a for-profit university in Winter Park, Florida.The school was founded in 1979 in Dayton, Ohio as Full Sail Recording Workshop.Full Sail relocated to Florida in 1980, adding video production and film production courses and, with the move in 1989 to its current campus, expanded its curriculum to include other entertainment and media-related areas of study. Full Sail began offering online degrees in 2007.The school is partly owned by TA Associates, a private equity firm run by C. Kevin Landry.

Full Sail is not regionally accredited, but is nationally accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) to award associate's, bachelor's degrees, and master's degrees in audio, film, design, computer animation, business, and other fields. The school offers 35 degree programs and 2 graduate certificates and has a student population of more than 16,800.

Admission Criteria & Eligibility

You can use this checklist as a guide to understand the steps needed to enroll at Full Sail and be ready to study in the US.
1.Interview with Admissions Representative
The interview can be conducted via phone, Skype, or other communication tool. The interview will cover the program, admissions requirements (including the steps to submit the application), application fee of $75, and seat deposit of $200 (campus degree only).
2. High school/secondary school transcript (required for undergraduate degree programs)
Applicants who have completed high school at a foreign institution must provide official documentation which will be evaluated in-house for equivalence. Documentation not in English must be accompanied by a certified English translation.
3. Verification of language proficiency
Applicants whose native language is not English must demonstrate the required level of language proficiency by providing documentation of one of the following:

  • TOEFL minimum required score of 79
  • IELTS minimum required score of 6
  • Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) score of 53

Additional language proficiency exams may be accepted and scores are only valid for 2 years. For additional information please contact International Admissions.
4. Financial Guarantee
This is verification that you will have the required funding for tuition and living expenses available to you while you are studying at Full Sail. Contact International Admissions for the minimum amount required based on your degree program.
5. Copy of Government identification
