Faculty Of Law, Adamas University

The Adamas University has been established by the Sachis Kiron Roy Memorial Trust (SKRMT) under The Adamas University Act, 2014 (West Bengal Act IV of 2014) passed by the West Bengal Legislature and approved by the Governor. The provisions of The Adamas University Act, 2014 have come into effect from 11th April 2014 through a notification issued by the Government of West Bengal on the same date. With its campus located at Barasat (13 kms from Subhash Chandra Bose international airport, Kolkata), West Bengal, the University will commence its classes from the academic session 2015-16 under five Faculties of Studies. The University has been established with the vision of providing quality education to students to help them become professionally competent as well as academically knowledgeable. It is expected to act as a centre of excellence, drawing students from both India and abroad.

Adamas University aims to set up a world-class smart campus by providing the latest technological facilities to its students to help them stay connected as well as to encourage collaboration and knowledge-sharing among them. It also hopes to create a paper-less environment-friendly institution.
  • Providing high-speed MIMO Technology Wi-Fi connectivity across the entire campus for better and easier accessibility for all
  • Implementation of various enabling technologies such as educational gaming, ERPs, dashboards, collaboration tools and educational analytics
  • Recording and storing (streaming) of all classes held in the electronic medium for accessibility by the students, as and when required
  • Ability to download study materials, class notes, assignments, articles, lesson plans, question papers (University/Board, House Test), e-Books, e-Journals, scanned copy of their certificates, lab manuals, resources, etc.
  • Ability to access placement articles, personality development articles, latest news of industries, job vacancies and campus placements, etc., through the University portal
  • Setting up information kiosks, with touchscreen panels, for both students and their parents, thereby encouraging a culture of paper-less communication
  • Better waste management by turning food waste to compost, which will produce organic rich soil and by separating clinical and hazardous waste materials
  • Installing BMS with a state-of-the-art microprocessor-controlled power management system for the entire campus. The University's lighting, cooling and electricity utility system will be maintained by this system so that at least 30% of the energy can be saved. This may be made applicable for the new buildings in the campus
