FLAME University has been established as a state private university vide the FLAME University Act 2014 (Maharashtra Act No. II of 2015) of the Government of Maharashtra. Degrees offered by FLAME University are as per UGC norms. It is Jain Minority Institution. FLAME has been set up with an idealistic vision and a social commitment to contribute to society in a noble manner. FLAME has been created as an academic institution anchored in Liberal Education. It is the pioneer of Liberal Education in India. The objective of Liberal Education at FLAME is to go beyond the known and familiar structured and narrowly encapsulated forms of knowledge. The aim is to provide students a learning experience that would excite and enthuse them. The education at FLAME University rests in multiplicity and simultaneity, as well as in making active choices from all that is made available. The focus is on experiencing, learning, self-reflection and self-discovery by freeing themselves from the traditional ways of looking at things instead to constantly question and challenge themselves, society and the world at large. The purpose is to give the country and the young generation an academic institution that fires the imagination of students to discover the magic and passion in themselves, to foster their creativity, to propel their innovativeness and determination to create, build and shape new enterprises. Spread on 60 acres of green expanse, FLAME prepares students who have a strong desire to learn and grow continually, welcome new ideas, value diversity with desire to succeed and give their best towards excellence in all spheres of life. Its curriculum includes perspective building, skills and competencies for communication, problem-solving skills, creativity, innovation, teamwork and ethics that also meet the needs of the diverse sectors of the country. It consists of four schools: FLAME School of Liberal Education, FLAME School of Business, FLAME School of Communication and FLAME School of Fine & Performing Arts.

Selection Process:
The goal of our assessment process is to select best performing and well-rounded applicants who can contribute and enhance the learning experience at FLAME University. We have an internal assessment process which considers the following aspects of your application:
•Admission Test (FEAT/SAT/ACT)
•Essay
•One-way Video Interview
•Past Academic Record
•Extracurricular activities/ achievements
•Statement of Purpose (SOP)

1.Dance, Design, Theatre and Music offered ONLY as Minors.
2.Overall 300 plus major minor combination. 
3.Total 22 majors and 22 minors offered.
Scholarship:
In keeping with FLAME University’s avowed commitment to promoting academic excellence, and to correspondingly attract the brightest amongst the students seeking admission to undergraduate and postgraduate programs, the University offers an array of Scholarships as mentioned below:

Location Information :
Foundation for Liberal And Management Education is located Taluka Mulshi Village Lavle, Vadzai Dist. and just 13 Kms. from the Pune University main gate.

Facilities
FLAME University is a fully residential campus that could qualify as one of the best designed institutes worldwide. The campus is professionally equipped and facilitates a great learning environment for students and faculty alike. The juxtaposition of buildings amidst all the flora and fauna gives the campus a unique personality like no other. Like the interdisciplinary education at FLAME, the infrastructure is a combination of strikingly diverse designs coming together resulting into an outcome that’s beyond beautiful.
Vivekananda Library:
The FLAME Vivekananda Library with its state-of-the-art building, hardware, software and other allied resources is fast developing into one of the finest institutional libraries in the country. Its inviting architecture provides an ambience that is relaxed but modern; and space that is large yet intimate. The resources available include books on an impressive array of subjects, course specific reading material, academic journals and various digital resources. It houses sufficient reference and reading material for students and faculty from multiple disciplines. Books from humanities, social sciences, applied sciences, management, media, journalism, literature, environment, religion, languages, amongst various others adorn its shelves.
Sports:
At FLAME students are provided adequate and equal opportunity to blend sports and fitness into their personal growth and development. Sports is mandatory for all students. Competitive sports are organized at inter-house and inter-institute level in as many as 14 disciplines covering indoor as well as outdoor games.

FLAME has an international size cricket ground, football ground, tennis courts, basketball and volleyball courts and an outdoor swimming pool. It is one of the few campuses in India with access to an 18-hole golf course adjacent to its campus.

Learning Spaces:
One of the main focus of the education at FLAME University is learning for life. To enable this learning and impart knowledge, the campus has provided dedicated and quiet spaces that encourage learning.

Accommodation Spaces:
FLAME University has a strictly residential program. Along with students few faculty and staff also stay on campus. To make their stay comfortable and make everyone feel at home, FLAME provided various student, faculty and staff housing.

Recreation Spaces:
FLAME University believes in play as much as work. Students need time and space to rejuvenate and relax after a hard day’s work. Also, sometimes conversations with faculty in informal settings help in forming bonds that promote friendship.
