BML Munjal University (BMU) has been founded by the promoters of the Hero Group, with the mission to establish a world-class university in India. Named after the Hero Group’s Co-
founder and Chairman, Dr. Brijmohan Lall Munjal, the aspiration has always been to groom future leaders for India and, more broadly, for Asia. BMU is engaged in creating, preserving and imparting knowledge to a diverse community of students. The university aspires to “nurture ethical leaders who are skilled, knowledgeable,and have the life skills required for leading their organizations to success. The university shall seek the advancement and dissemination of practically oriented knowledge benchmarked with the best global standards.” The University started with the School of Engineering and Technology, School of Management and School of Commerce, followed by the introduction of School of Law in the AY 2019-20. BMU will continue to add more programmes in the coming years. Mentored by Imperial College London, ranked 9 th in the QS World University Rankings, BMU seeks to transform education in India by creating a world class and innovative teaching, learning, and research environment. Since its inauguration in 2014, BMU has admitted around 2000 students in four streams: B.Tech, BBA, B.A., LL.B. (Hons.), B.B.A., LL.B. (Hons.), B.Sc Economics (H) and MBA.

Campus

Campus Infrastructure
At BMU, we are committed to enhancing the quality of your life by maintaining an open yet safe and secure environment. The gated campus is ringed by high walls and has two entry/exit points which are manned by round-the-clock security staff. Closed circuit TVs and intruder alarm systems are in place at strategic points around the campus. The campus has a 24-hour uniformed security patrol service, who can respond quickly to any security or emergency matter that occurs on the campus site. Fifty faculty and senior administrative staff will be living on the campus. Entry of visitors is restricted; visitors need to have their identities confirmed by the person they wish to meet before being allowed to enter the campus. For students, strict rules are in place for leaving and returning to the campus. Ragging and bullying are banned; as are consumption of liquor, drugs and other intoxicants. The entire campus is a non-smoking zone. Fire safety measures have been introduced in all the campus buildings.
 
Housing
 
The campus is equipped to house 2000 students at this moment in the state of art multistoried hostel designed by HOK Architects. Rooms include three, two and single seater rooms. The hostels have common areas in each floor with entertainment and recreational facilities.
 
Dining
 
The campus houses a dining space managed by Sodexo India that provides the best cuisine for the students. BMU has a zone that everyone loves – our very own food court. Eat, work, relax or just chill – this is a space where you can unwind however you chose. BMU offers a range of options to keep students food palate satisfied. Our Cafeterias are named ‘Delicious’. We have food chains like Zambar Street Food by Punjab Grill & Baker’s Street. Kolkata Lazeez Rolls, US Pizza, Cruncheez, Zomato and our very own archetypal Dhaba to cater to the cravings of the foodie in BMU students

Further, Hero Group’s extensive cross-industry linkages could assist you in opening the door to a future career.  BMU’s campus location also could work to your advantage. Since the campus is located at the epicentre of India’s industrial, financial, IT and corporate heartland, BMU could serve as a potential catchment for future employees.  Additionally, you will get the opportunity to meet up with prospective employers through on-campus events, recruitment drives, career fairs and other networking programmes.
 
Internship Opportunities:
 
BMU has introduced the concept of Practice School, 45% of time is spent outside the classroom on internships and projects and in labs, which promotes hands-on practical experience, improves soft skills and makes students employable. The programme also gives students a chance to leverage their work experience during placements. The program is jointly mentored by a faculty and the industry expert who later evaluate the programme. Unlike the other internships, Practice School comprises credit units and contributes to the final university score. Practice School is applicable for all the programmes at BMU.
