Amity University Jaipur has been established by the Ritnand Balved Education Foundation (RBEF) New Delhi, which is a society registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. It has been set up under the Amity University Rajasthan Act 2008, notified by Government Notification No F.2(10 ) vidhi/2.It is a fully government recognized University with the right to confer degrees as per Sections 2f and 22(1) of the UGC Act.The Amity University Jaipur is considered a pioneer in the field of higher learning for introducing the path-breaking Flexi-credit course. Under this course, the students choose the subjects they want to study, and at a time of their convenience.

There are more than 4000 faculty and staff members who are dedicated to making this university a world class institute.  There are 12 former vice chancellors of renowned universities including the Roorkee University, 12 former generals of the Indian Army, IAS and IPS officers, renowned scientists, former CEOs of PSUs and many brilliant academicians as faculty.
Campus Infrastructure
The University has a beautiful tree-lined campus spread over 152 acres of land on the Delhi-Jaipur Highway. The campus includes a rainwater harvesting lake with running fountains, a Neem forest, and an amphitheatre that can seat 1,500 spectators.The academic blocks have large and spacious air-conditioned classrooms, lecture theaters and state-of the-art labs. There are separate hostels for boys and girls, and a Student Resource Centre that has restaurants, gym, library, dance room, billiards and TT room. The University provides a range of outdoor activities that include horse riding, golfing and trekking.

Facilities
Classrooms:
 Amity has built amphitheatre-style classrooms with wide aisles for students to reach their seats.All classrooms are air-conditioned, and can run modern audio-visual equipment like LCD Projectors.Great care has been taken in the selection of chairs and desks. They allow the students to be seated comfortably, and take notes.
Auditoriums:
The University has a state-of-the-art Auditorium of International standard which can seat 368 students.It is used for conducting seminars, cultural programs and International conferences. Movies are also screened as part of the campus activity for the students.
Library:
Amity has a large library located in the Students Resource Centre. It has close to 50,000 text books, reference books and research journals.Besides this, all students are provided free access to over 17,000 online journals. Some of the popular online resources accessible to Amity students/faculty are EBSCO titles, Oxford journals, Cambridge University Press publications, Taylor& Francis publications.
Sports Facilities:
The University has a large number of facilities for Indoor as well as outdoor sports.These include a football ground, practice pitch for cricket, volleyball, tennis, badminton and basket ball courts. Also available are pool, snooker and table tennis tables and a gymnasium with state of art equipment. The University also has an indoor rifle range, horse riding and golf putting range.
Laboratories:
Amity offers world-class lab facilities in Engineering, Biotechnology, Mass Media, Architecture, Fashion Technology and Hotel Management among many others. Students work with state-of-the-art machines under expert guidance from an experienced and trained Faculty.
Moot Court:
The Amity School of Law has a Moot Court made on the pattern of a real court that can seat 300 students.
Medical Facilities:
 The University has a well equipped Medical Room with nursing staff available 24×7 for girls and boys.The medical room is located within the hostel so that the students can easily avail medical care. For emergencies and major medical problems an ambulance is available to ferry the sick to multi specialty hospitals
