The National University of Singapore is one of the most famous and prestigious institutions in the world. It is known for its intense focus on research and its entrepreneurial dimension. National University of Singapore was ranked 1st in the top universities in Asia according to the QS World University Rankings and was ranked as the 12th best university in the world. It is one of the youngest universities to attain such high ranks on the global level.

The University has a galore of several influential people who have either studied or taught in it. Its faculty includes people such as Kofi Annan (former secretary-general of UNO), Nalin Mehta (famous India writer and columnist) and Artur Ekert (one of the inventors of quantum cryptography).

Balaji Sadasivan; former chairman of the executive board of the WHO, Goh Chok Tong; Singapore’s second prime minister, Tony Tan; Singapore’s 7th president and Margaret Chan; Director-General of the World Health Organization are some of the famous people who have studied at National University of Singapore
