The TOEFL Scholarship Program in India is a merit based scholarship provided by Educational Testing Service (ETS). It is offered to 15 students per year. This scholarship is provided to Indian undergraduate students for colleges in Australia, Canada, India, Singapore, United Kingdom and United States of America.

Scholarship Details

The trust provides 15 scholarships valued at US$7,000  per year. It is applicable to Indian undergraduate and postgraduate students interested in Architecture, Law, Medicine, Science, Humanities, Health Care, Education and Teaching, Journalism, Media, PR and Events, Computer Science, Information Technology, and Business Management.

Requirements

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this scholarship, the student:
  • Should be living in India
  • Should hold a grade point average of 80 or higher on a 100-point scale, or a 3.0 grade point average or higher on a 4-point scale
  • Should demonstrate English proficiency with a valid TOEFL score
  • Should demonstrate effective leadership skills and an overall well-rounded portfolio with extracurricular activities, including community service.

Application Process

  • Complete the initial application online
  • The deadline for the initial application is 3 August 2017
  • If selected as a semifinalist, you will be notified and will be required to submit additional information, which is due on September month.
  • Please use program key "TIndia" to access the TOEFL Scholarship application for India.

Additional Information

Based on the initial application, 100 semifinalists will be selected. The semifinalist must exhibit:
  • An outstanding ability to communicate
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Well-rounded extracurricular activities, especially including community service
  • Innovative ideas as reflected in essays
Note: Transfer students are not eligible for the TOEFL Scholarship Program in India.
