The Facebook Grace Hopper Women in Computing Scholarships are offered by the Facebook. Facebook is committed in helping advance women in technology, and very excited to announce the Facebook Grace Hopper Women in Computing Scholarship. The Facebook scholarship awards women excelling in Computer Science with the chance to attend the Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing conference. 25 scholarships are awarded to the students who are enrolled full-time at a college or university anywhere in the world and pursuing a computer science, computer engineering or related technical major.

Scholarship Details

The scholarship provides the following benefits
  • Registration Fee for the Grace Hopper Conference
  • All travel and lodging expenses paid, including a pre-Grace Hopper Conference program in Minneapolis that includes tech talks, mentoring sessions, and sightseeing from September 30th - October 1st
  • An invitation to a private reception with Jocelyn Goldfein, Facebook's Director of Engineering, and other Facebook employees during the Grace Hopper Conference
  • Additional $200 meal stipend

Requirements

Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility
  • The student must be enrolled full time at a college or university anywhere in the world and pursuing a computer science, computer engineering, or related technical major
  • International applicants are welcome, but she will be responsible for securing their own visa to attend the conference
  • The student must be available between Monday, September 30 – Saturday, October 5 and commit to Facebook's programming schedule
  • Other criteria as decided by Facebook in its sole discretion. Facebook complies with all equal opportunity laws.
