Pro-Parenting Session

On 15th July 2019, Univariety conducted a Pro-Parenting Workshop for the parents and the students. The main agenda was to help parents & students: ? Understand what India & the world’s TOP colleges REALLY look for at the time of Admissions ? Give them exposure to top Indian & Global Non-Academic Programs ? Create a personalized sample roadmap for their child with our experts The facilitator, Ms. Sangeetha George spoke about how Promap is basically focused and achievement-oriented Profile Building. This will help in the following ways: 1. College Admissions: All colleges, all courses abroad look at the non-academic profile of the child from middle school onwards. In India: Non-Engineering and Non-Medicine aspirants need profile building to improve their conversations at the PI, group discussion stage. 2. Overall exposure and perspective building. Especially in the 8th and 9th, doing these activities helps you in exploring your interests and make informed decisions in stream selection, etc. 3. If you are looking at scholarships especially, you need to make sure that you have a strong profile. And general activities like dance, etc are hobbies, we are talking about co-curricular courses like advanced courses from Stanford Open school, etc. It was an interactive session for both parents & students. There were a few students & parents who stayed back post the session to discuss their personal queries with the facilitator & the counselors.
