A Career workshops for students and parents was conducted to get exposure and clarity, with regards to their college placements and career ambitions. Activities conducted by experts in their particular fields, helps students bridge the gap between having knowledge on those careers and how to practically make informed career choices. The SOP Essay building workshop helped the students guage their interest level in the program that they have applied for, their ability to pursue the program and completing it successfully, and whether they will be able to contribute significantly to the Institute.

Univariety conducted a Pro-Parenting Workshop for the parents and the students of grade 9, 10, 11 & 12. The main agenda was to help parents & students: 1. Understand what India & the world’s TOP colleges REALLY look for at the time of Admissions 2. Give them exposure to top Indian & Global Non-Academic Programs 3. Create a personalized sample roadmap for their child with our experts The facilitator, Ms. Ann George spoke about how Promap is basically focused and achievement oriented Profile Building. This will help in the following ways: 1. College Admissions: All colleges, all courses abroad look at the non-academic profile of the child from middle school onwards. In India: Non Engineering and Non Medicine aspirants need profile building to improve their conversations at the PI, group discussion stage. 2. Overall exposure and perspective building. Especially in the 8th and 9th, doing these activities, helps you in exploring your interests and take informed decisions in stream selection etc. 3. If you are looking at scholarships especially, you need to make sure that you have a strong profile. And general activities like dance, etc are hobbies, we are talking of co-curricular courses like advanced courses from Stanford Open school etc. It was an interactive session for both parents & students. There were a few students & parents who stayed back post the session to discuss their personal queries with the facilitator & the counsellors.

The presentation went well where the counsellor covered 3 Agenda Points for class 8th students- 1) What are the streams available? 2) What to consider before you decide 3) Myths busted The counsellor guided parents and students on the subjects offered by CIE and particularly guided them on subjects offered by the school. She also introduced new subjects like Ad Maths, Environmental Management. She gave an overview of ICE Award and maximum, minimum subjects to be the selected. To summarize, it was an interactive session where parents and students cleared their queries regarding subjects and which one would be the best to choose based on their interest and aptitude.

Students were quite inquisitive and enthusiastic. Profile completion for all students grade 9-12 was complete. Grade 9 & 10 took the personality test. AS and A-Levels students took the Ideal career test. They also completed the activities as per the Career Journey.
