West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board
The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) was established in 1962 by Government of West Bengal in exercise of the powers conferred under article 162 of the Constitution of India in pursuant to No.828-Edn(T), dated 02.03.1962. Subsequently, the Board was recognised as a Statutory Body vide West Bengal Act XIV of 2014 and was authorised for conducting the Joint Entrance Examination in respect to admission to various institutions in West Bengal imparting education in Medical, Engineering and Technological courses.The Board has been empowered to conduct Common Entrance Examinations for admission to Undergraduate and Postgraduate Professional and Vocational Courses both in the Undergraduate and Post graduate level. As such, it always endeavours to advocate transparency and implement effective state-of-the-art technology in conducting such examinations. WBJEEB has been instrumental in conducting the admission process through online application and allotment through e-Counselling since 2012.

a)Citizenship: Applicant must be a citizen of India.
(i)The lower age limit is 17 (seventeen) years as on 31.12.2018. A candidate should have been born on or before 31.12.2001. There is no upper age limit in appearing in the WBJEE-2018.
(ii)However, for admission to the degree level Marine Engineering Course The lower age limit is 17 (seventeen) years as on 31.12.2018 and the upper age limit is 25 Years as on 31.12.2018.
Subjects of Examination: Candidates are required to appear for two papers in WBJEEB-2019
1.Paper-I – Mathematics
2.Paper-II - Physics & Chemistry (combined).Candidates appearing in both Paper-I and Paper-II and who are awarded ranks will be eligible for admission in Engineering/ Technology /Architecture / Pharmacy Courses in all institutes Candidates appearing in Paper-II only and who are awarded ranks will be eligible for admission only in Pharmacy Courses (except in Jadavpur University)
The application fee for Engg/Tech/Arch/Pharm is Rs. 500/-

Any attempt by a candidate to make duplicate registration will be stopped by the system.
Thereafter candidates will fill up various personal information regarding, Nationality, Religion, Income category, Address, Choice of
examination zones, academic detail etc.
At the end, the candidate has to choose password and security question/answer.
At this stage the candidate can review the entire application and makechanges as necessary.
The candidate will then be asked to submit the application.
Then an application number will be generated and SMS/email will be sent to the candidate.
Candidates have to remember their password and security question/answer. If the candidate forgets the password, he/she has to recover it through “Forgot Password” option. There is no other way to recover the password even by the Board if it is lost.
It is not possible for any person/agency to change/edit/input any information without knowing the password. Hence candidates must not share their password with anybody. The Board will not be responsible for any change resulting from sharing/ divulging of the password.
At this stage candidates may logout or continue to next step.
In order to be successful in the WBJEE, it is absolutely advisable to take up a coaching at the earliest like 7 - 8 months. Some of the key tips to help the student prepare well are listed below:-
Save Time: While doing calculations in Mathematics use short methods and skip unimportant steps to save time. Students should spend their most of the time in practicing concepts and problem solving. While doing preparations never use calculators in order to increase speed and precision. Mental calculations help students increase their speed to a great extent.
Analyse Weak Parts: Analysing problem areas where one is taking too much time to solve a problem. Analyse the sections one can afford to use up time and also keep an eye on sections where one feels he/she is at his/her best. It is advisable to also pay close attention to the errors made, which makes it easier to correct later.
Practice Quality Questions: The more one practices, the more confidence one gains. Practicing quality questions more rather than practicing thousands of questions blindly definitely comes in handy.
ASECT JOINT ENTRANCE EXAMINATION (NEE) is an all India common entrance examination which is conducted for admissions into AISECT GROUP of UNIVERSITIES in MP, CG, Jharkand& Bihar. The examination is conducted to test the aptitude Of candidates throughout the country for various courses offered respectively by the Universities, which include Bachelors and Masters in Engineering, education, law and management amongst others. The examination offers candidates an opportunity to be a part of the AISECT Group of UNIVERSITIES and chose a career from a bouquet Of courses that aid students to transform themselves into competitive professionals equipped with optimum skills and expertise for a successful professional career.
Mode of the test:
The test consists of one question paper of 100 marks. The question paper consists of hundred objective-type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), 25 each on Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology. Duration: The paper will be of 1½ hrs. duration.
Marks: Maximum marks will be 100
Questions: There will be 100 objective type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). Each MCQ will have four answer options and a single best response. Negative marking: There will be no negative marking.
The All India Entrance Test–B-Tech is conducted for selection of candidates for admission to B. Tech (Biotechnology/Bioinformatics/Biomedical Engineering) and M. Tech Integrated (Biotechnology) at the Department of Biotechnology & Bioinformatics, CBD Belapur, Navi Mumbai. The medium of instruction for the above courses is English. The duration of the B. Tech course is 4 years, and that of the M. Tech (Integrated) course is 5 years.
