A common myth is that Engineering/Medical entrance exams are very tough or that the questions are complex and difficult to crack. It is just a different pattern of examination which requires different approach to understand the same subject that the candidate has studied in school.
Time management is the most critical factor in preparation of any objective type entrance exams. Students should develop habit of writing as many tests as possible.
In the engineering entrance exams, questions are asked on the application of the concepts, unlike medical where the questions asked are factual in nature. So, a student needs to practice a lot of questions so that he/ she can easily apply the inherent concepts.
Always keep in mind that a candidate must secure 50% of marks, i.e. 90 marks out of total marks of 180 in UGCET to secure rank and be eligible for counseling.
