About Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board(JCECEB)

The JCECE is organised by Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board for selection of candidates for admission to first year of engineering, medical & agriculture streams. This examination is conducted for admission into engineering, medical and agricultural degree programme in government & private colleges affiliated to the JCECE board in Jharkhand state.  Streams for which JCECE board invites application under exam named JCECE entrance exam Ranchi, are:
Engineering Stream: Engineering Degree Course in different Govt./Pvt. Engineering Institutes/Colleges situated in Jharkhand State.
Medical Stream: MBBS & BDS/Homeopathic Course in Govt. and Pvt. Institutes situated in Jharkhand State.
Agriculture Stream: Degree Course in Agriculture, Veterinary and Forestry in Birsa Agriculture University, Kanke, Ranchi.
Test Pattern:The JCECE exam is held in two stages - Preliminary and Final Examination. Those who qualify in the Preliminary Examination are eligible to appear in the Final examination.The JCECE preliminary exam consists of single paper where four parts (Math, Physics, Chemistry and Biology ) are given as separate in equal weightage with objective type questions.Preliminary Entrance Test Paper Pattern:
JCECE preliminary entrance test paper is fragmented into four parts –Mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology.
  • All parts carry objective type multiple choice questions.
  • In total, test paper consists of 200 questions.
  • Which have to be answered within 2 hours and 30 minutes.
  • Wrong answers can fetch negative marks.

  • Engineering - The candidate must have passed I.Sc. / 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry subject and has obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together
  • B.Sc. Agriculture & B.Sc. Forestry – The candidate must have passed I.Sc. / 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry along with Mathematics or Biology
  • BHMS - The candidate must have passed I.Sc. / 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry along with Biology

Application Process

  • A candidate can apply for the JCECE only online.
  • Candidate has to fill all the required details along with the scanned copies (Photo, Sign, Left Hand Thumb Impression) while registering online
  • Candidate can pay the application fee in any of the following method as mentioned below:
  • Using Debit/Credit Card: If decided to pay fee through Debit/Credit Card, check the validity of the Card and keep it ready with you while logging on to website for submitting Application Form
  • Using Bank Challan: If decided to pay fee off-line mode, download the Chalan/Deposit Slip from website http://www.jceceboard.org after completing Part – III of Registration
  • After Depositing Fee in the Bank, the Deposit Slip bearing Registration Number, Name and name of the Bank where fee is deposited and transaction ID number be kept ready with you while logging on to website for final submission of Part - IV of the Application Form
  • Print the Confirmation Page of online application after final submission at Part – V of the Application Form
