The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHEB) conducts the Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET). It has been decided to conduct Common Entrance Test for getting admission in Degree-Engineering Pharmacy as well as Medical Course after Std.Xll Science Stream. GUJCET is conducted in three languages: English, Hindi & Gujarati. The Gujarat Common Entrance Test 2015 is one multiple choice question paper
consisting of the following subjects of

  • Physics (40 questions): 40 MARKS
  • Chemistry (40 questions): 40 MARKS
  • Biology (40 questions): 40 MARKS

The question paper would contain 120 questions and would of three hours duration (180 minutes). Aspirants are required to circle the correct option out of the four given alternative on the OMR sheet.The question paper of the examination shall be printed in Gujarati, Hindi and English. Therefore it is necessary to mark your preference of medium in the application form.

Eligibility

  • Candidates who have passed higher secondary science stream (10 + 2 pattern) examination conducted by the central board of secondary education, New Delhi through the recognized school situated in the State of Gujarat.
  • Candidates who have filled in application form for appearing in the examination of higher secondary science stream (10 + 2 Pattern) through recognized school/candidates going to appear in examination of higher secondary science stream (10 + 2 Pattern) in the very year in which the candidates have filled in application form for Common Entrance Test.

Application Process

Every aspirant (only for students in Gujarat) needs to fill in the admission form online. Once the application form is filled in online & submitted, candidates need to take a print of the same & send it along with all the required documents. The interested candidates can get the application form & brochure by sending a demand draft in the favor of Secretary, Gujarat Common Entrance Test Cell payable at Ahmedabad or Gandhinagar.To get the information booklet and user ID & Password for online Registration of GUJCET, a Demand Draft from any Nationalised Bank towards the examination fee in the name of “Secretary, Gujarat Common Entrance Test Cell, Gandhinagar” payable at Ahmedabad shall be produced. The same shall not be cancelled or the examination fee shall not be refunded.

Preparation Tips

Few Tips for Smart Preparation
  • First of all create a feasible plan and effective plan for studying.
  • Divide the available time into different slots by setting targets.
  • Leave some free time in between so it can be used if any urgent need occurs in between.
  • Refer to previous question papers while studying.
  • Study the important topics first so that there is no chance of leaving them.
  • Point out the flaws in the plan, if any by reviewing it often.
  • Most of the students fail to score high marks due to lack of proper planning and determination.
  • Questions are asked from basic fundamentals. So establish a thorough knowledge in these areas.
  • Don’t go for too many books for a subject. Search and out which one is good and stick on to that.
  • Give more time to the subjects that seem to be tough.

Duration: The paper will be of 1½ hrs. duration.

Marks: Maximum marks will be 100
Questions:  There  will  be  100  objective  type  Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). Each MCQ will have four answer options and a single best response.
Negative marking: There will be no negative marking.
Standard/Level of test: HSC examination standard

All India Entrance Test B.Tech (AIET B.Tech)

The All India Entrance Test–B-Tech is conducted for selection of candidates for admission to B. Tech (Biotechnology/Bioinformatics/Biomedical Engineering) and M. Tech Integrated (Biotechnology) at the Department of Biotechnology & Bioinformatics, CBD Belapur, Navi Mumbai. The medium of instruction for the above courses is English. The duration of the B. Tech course is 4 years, and that of the M. Tech (Integrated) course is 5 years.
