About Christian Medical College Common Entrance Test

CMC Vellore Common Entrance Exam is conducted by the Christian Medical College, Vellore.This exam is conducted for admission to its various undergraduate medical and paramedical courses such as MBBS, B. Sc (N), AHS Degree courses, Diploma in Nursing, AHS Diploma Course & Analytical Clinical Pharmacology and M. Sc in various specializations.The test is conducted in metro-cities across India.Applicants succeeding the CMC, Vellore CET, can look for admission into these following courses:

  • Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.Sc. Nursing)
  • Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (BOT)
  • Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT)
  • Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Technology (B.Sc. MLT)

Exam Pattern:
All candidates who are looking for admission to MBBS/BSc. Nursing/ BSc. MLT/BPT/BOT courses must undergo a competitive entrance examination followed by a practical test and interviews.The entrance examination is comprised of objective type questions (MCQ).The paper has questions from Physics, Chemistry, Biology and the General Ability with importance on Speed and Accurateness and some questions on subjects of Recent Topical Interest.The time of the complete test is 3 hours and 10 minutes.Here are 60 questions each of Physics, Chemistry and Biology (2 hours total) and 120 questions in General Ability with emphasis on Speed and Accuracy and on Issues of Current Topical Interest (70 minutes).Presentation in this examination is the basis of a call for practical tests and interviews and final selections.

All candidates should have “obtained a minimum of marks at 50th percentile# ” in the Undergraduate NEET 2018 examination ( # 40th percentile for candidates applying for seats in the SC/ST quota). As per TN Government and University guidelines, a candidate for admission to the medical course “must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50%## marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (or Botany and Zoology taken together)/Bio-technology at the qualifying exam” ( ##40% aggregate for BC, MBC, SC/ST candidates). BC/MBC/de-notified community/SC/ST are as defined by the TN Government; all rules are subject to change as per TN Government & University guidelines. Application Process

Applications can be accessed only online at http://admissions.cmcvellore.ac.in from 21 st February 2018. The last date for online application submission, with payment of application fee, is 26th March 2018. The last date for receipt of any supporting documents (where relevant, photocopy of SC/ST certificate or its attested English translation) is 2 nd April 2018 before 12:00 noon for all courses. MBBS applicants will be able to submit their NEET (UG)-2018 marks at our website from the date of announcement of NEET (UG)-2018 results. Last Date for submission of NEET (UG)-2018 score is two weeks from the date of announcement of NEET (UG)-2018 results. The application fee includes a basic administrative fee of Rs.800 plus a registration fee per course applied. The registration fee per course is given below: Group A courses: MBBS, BSc (Nursing) & AHS Degree Courses – Rs. 500/- per course Group B courses: Diploma in Nursing and other AHS diplomas / Fellowships – Rs.100/- per course MPH and MSc courses - Rs. 500/- per course The application fee can be paid by any one of the methods given below: 1. As a challan at no extra cost at any branch of ICICI bank in India. A challan will be generated when filling payment details in the application form. Please mention FC-CMC-V on the challan. Send the original challan to this office before 2 nd April 2018. 2. Online payment using Credit Card / Debit Card / Net Banking. a. Use only your own (or parents / guardians) credit card / debit card / net banking for these transactions. If this is not possible, please choose the payment option of ICICI challan. b. When using a credit card / debit card / net banking, if the transaction is not successful, please check with your bank debit card / credit card / net banking account to see if the amount was debited.
