AMU Engineering entrance test is divided into two parts, Paper 1 and Paper 2. Candidates who have applied to the bachelors course of Architecture only are required to appear for Paper 2. The test is of 3 hours duration consisting of 150 multiple choice questions which comprise of 150 marks and questions are based on Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
It is for those students, who are applying for Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) program. The question paper consists of multiple choice type questions. Each question carries four options and the candidates have to find out the right answer from them. The questions in the paper are based on Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics.
The candidates, who are seeking admission into Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) program, have to appear in the Paper-2 of AMU Engineering Entrance Exam. However, they must have also appeared in Paper 1. The paper two of the exam is particularly designed to test the aptitude of the candidates in the field of Architecture.
The candidate should have passed class XII or another qualifying exam recognized by the University with a minimum aggregate of 50% in Mathematics, English, Chemistry and Physics or must have a diploma in Engineering from AMU with a minimum aggregate of 50%.

AMU Engineering entrance test is very competitive and securing a good score in the examination is very important in order to secure admission. To secure a good rank in the entrance test it is very important to prepare accordingly. It is recommended that students obtain complete clarity on the examination pattern and then make a clear preparation plan. One should give themselves an entire year to prepare for the examination. Refer to previous years question papers, reference books and enroll in a coaching institute.
