  • 1) Apply visa at the nearest VFS office - http://www.vfs-au-in.com/wheretoapply.aspx
  • 2) Filling the visa application.
  • 3) Paying the visa fees of Rs 25300 or demand draft favoring "Australian High Commission", payable at New Delhi.
  • 4) Additional Information Form 1221.
  • 5) Electronic Confirmation of Enrolment (eCoE) issued by your education provider for the course(s) you are undertaking stating the course, total tuition fees, duration and the course start date along with OSHC.

  • 23) If any of your dependents are 5-17 years of age (inclusive in the application), documentation confirming their enrolment in an Australian school and Under 18 Consent Form.
  • 24) If the applicant is under 18 years of age you will have to show evidence that appropriate arrangements have been done for your welfare before you lodge your application.

  • The overall rating for the ease of getting the student visa is 7 (on a scale of 1 -10).  The above comments hold true if a applicant follows the following guidelines.

     

    Visas are granted by the Australian Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC). DIAC will only grant you a student visa if your course is registered, or is part of a registered course, on a full time basis. A registered course
    To get the Australia visa its easy if the student follows the prescribed rules and regulation by the DIAC    which gives permission to travel or enter the Australia.

     

    The student needs to apply for the visa 90 days prior to the course start date.  The minimum visa process time is 45 working days.  you need to strictly follow the visa guiding prescribed by the DIAC. 

     

    Applying for the visa 3 months prior will not only help in securing the visa faster but also the student can do the necessary travel arrangements in a smoother way or in other words, it can also be said the student can save money. For Example the Exchange rate in the month of June will be low compared to the exchange rate in the month of august or September. The student can choose the book his flight tickets with lot of offer which will be in the month of June and July

     

    For PG Applicants – Need to apply to the Universities at least 9 months in advance if he is apply to the group 8 universities.  As they will be taking minimum 4 to 6 weeks of application process to issue the conditional or unconditional offer letter. 

     

    And if the student wants to apply for the education loan then the student need to have a unconditional offer letter in hand to process the educational loan.  And the process time for the education loan will be around 4 weeks(This may vary from bank to bank).

     

    For UG Applicants- Need to apply for the universities at least 1 year prior as the admission for the UG students get closed faster.  The universities will be receiving loads of applications over the globe.

     

    Please also remember that the universities need some standardized test like IELTS.  The applicants should prepare for the above test and the scores should be with them while applying to the universities.  This will stop in delay in the admission process.

     

    If the student follow the above guidelines then getting the student visa will be very easy

Ease of working during study

  • When a student from the home country travels abroad for further studies directly or indirectly he is not only getting the international degree but also an international exposure.  He is termed as an international student.  When we speak about the international exposure which means that the student is gaining various experiences at the international level, where he is interacting with many other international students who are from different parts of the globe this is at university.  Add-on to this government has given an opportunity to the student to work will study. 

     

    Working during studies can be streamed into part time and full time work.  While the studying he can work of 20 hrs per week and in the vacation he can work 40 hrs per week.  This is not to encourage the student to only work and earn money and get indulged in over working and getting diverted from study.   But to encourage an international student to know the country and other international students culture during the study time and in the vacation outside the university.  In short the international student is given a opportunity to make his network (Friends) throughout the globe.

    This will make him independent and earn extra money for his living expenses or future tuition fees.
     He will have an opportunity to get mingled with the other international students or citizen of the country and help him to understand the culture and habitats of different international students.
    This will also help him to understand various industries in the country and which will help him to understand the various opportunities after the completion of his course.

     

    According to the UK wage rate the students can earn 12 Aust $ per hr.  But times like charismas vacation it will go upto 13 to 15 GBP also

     

Ease for Stay back options

  • The students who have completed 2 years of education can stay for 1.5 yrs on graduate skilled temporary visa. 

     

    Graduate Skilled Temporary visa allows overseas students who do not meet the criteria for a permanent General Skilled Migration visa to remain in Australia for 18 months to gain skilled work experience or improve their English language skills.

     

    As a holder of this visa, you may apply for permanent residence at any time if you are able to meet the passmark on the General Skilled Migration points test.

     

    This visa is for you if you are an overseas student who:

    • 2) In the last six months has completed an eligible qualification(s) as a result of at least two years study in Australia.

Australia and unlike other developed countries like the UK and US is showing positive signs of revival post the financial crisis. Commodity exports play an important role in the Australian economy, strong the commodity prices are helping Australia to recover fast from the global financial crisis.

The proportion of employers recruiting graduates in Australia increased in 2010, according to recently released findings from the 2010 Graduate Outlook Survey.

The research, conducted by Graduate Careers Australia (GCA), revealed that the vast majority of surveyed employers (92 per cent) recruited graduate employees in 2010, up from 88 per cent in 2009. An increase in the proportion of employers recruiting more than 20 graduate employees also increased from 31 to 35 per cent over the same period.

The Australian economy is set to rebound after the disruptions caused by major natural disasters in early 2011. Growth, driven by historically high terms-of-trade, should accelerate from 3% in 2011 to4½ per cent in 2012. Unemployment is projected to fall, although the remaining slack in the economy will mute the risk of inflation pressures.

The continued fiscal consolidation, despite the cost of the rains and flooding to public accounts, is welcome, including from a cyclical point of view. The current stance of monetary policy seems appropriate, in absence of potential second-round effects on inflation of weather disruption and of oil price hikes. The authorities must take advantage of the favourable economic situation to pursue long term structural reforms, including those that favour output involving less CO2 emissions.
