Admission Criteria & Eligibility

Twelve years of academic preparation and one of the following are required:
  1. Indian Senior School Certificate (CISCE) or All India Senior School Certificate (CBSE) awarded after Standard XII with 70% (conditional offer with 75% on Grade 10 results)
  2. Year 12 State Board Exams: Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC); all applicants with excellent academic results will be considered on a case-by-case basis
  • provide a CAEL score of 60 with no section less than 50
  • provide an IELTS score of 6.0 with no component less than 5.5
  • provide a TOEFL score of at least 79 on the iBT (Internet-based test) with at least 17 on each section, or 550 on the PBT (paper-based test)

IELTS (Academic): International English Language Testing System 6.5, with no component less than 6.0
LPI: Language Proficiency Index Level 6
MELAB: Michigan English Language Assessment Battery 90
TOEFL: Test of English as a Foreign Language

90 on the iBT (Internet-based test) with no section less than 20, or 575 on the PBT (paper-based test) (UVic's TOEFL institution code is 0989)
