Admission Criteria & Eligibility

If you are an international student applying to Stevens Institute of Technology and English is not your first language, you must demonstrate English proficiency with one of the the following:

  1. TOEFL (minimum 80 iBT)
  2.  IELTS (minimum 6 overall)
  3.  SAT I Critical Reading (minimum 550)
All international applicants must submit one of the following test scores:
  1. SAT I
  2. ACT
  3. Two AP exams: calculus and either chemistry or physics
  4. Two SAT Subject tests: math and either chemistry or physics
  5. International Baccalaureate predicted grades with two higher level exams scores in math or science?
  6. Music & Technology and Visual Arts & Technology applicants: you may submit a digital portfolio in lieu of test scores.

Your Admissions Interview:
International applicants are not required to schedule an interview. However, the review committee may choose to reach out to certain applicants at their discretion. Interviews are available in person, on the phone and via Skype.
