St. Francis College for Women

St. Francis College For Women, started in 1959, is a Catholic minority institution founded by the Sisters Of Charity, for the holistic education and empowerment of women. The college is housed in an impressive campus spread over eight acres in the heart of the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad. From a modest student strength of 15 in 1959, the college has grown into a prestigious institution offering undergraduate and postgraduate courses, with a student force of 3200. In addition, it has a staff strength of 160 teaching members and 110 non-teaching members.

Library
The college also provides fully computerised library services with the help of an update on their own software which is called “SLIM 21”.  The library has a collection of around 60,000 books.  Students are given access to the e-journals through J-Gate-Informatics. The college has also subscribed to more than 100 journals and magazines.  The library remains open 290 days in a year, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
