The college is promoted by Royal Orchid Hotels Limited (ROHL). With a placement success matching its growth rate the college has enjoyed remarkable growth, since its establishment 21 years ago. Presidency College of Hotel Management continues its proud tradition of integrity, quality and educational excellence and has been rated as the Second Best Hotel Management College in India in the past 2008.

The college campus is located in Hotel Royal Orchid. The hotel has 200 rooms, Limelight (a 24-hour Coffee Shop), Geoffrey's (a British Pub), Ginseng - an Oriental Restaurant and a Business Lounge. The classrooms are well furnished and the library is resourceful. The college has adequate infrastructure for extracurricular activities.
