New law Academy

The ‘A. K. K. New Law Academy’ or New Law Academy is an educational institute which offers legal studies. The institute is located at Azam Campus in Camp, Pune. It is a legal education institution, which is approved by the Bar Council of India, and affiliated to the University of Pune. The institute offers around two UG courses as of now. It was established in 1993, and was named after Mr. A. K. Khan, advocate, philanthropist and visionary. The institute has been recognised as one of the most sought after law schools in India, owing to the research work the institute offers.

Library
The institute has a state-of-the-art library which provides many authoritative texts and reference books, Law reports, Journals & Magazines. The library contains Halsbury’s Laws of England, Halsbury’s Law of India, All England Law Reports, AIR, S.C.C, MhLJ, Cri.L.J, L.L.J, Journal of Indian Law Institute, Indian Bar Review, Company Cases and many more. The institute has added the ‘Law Super’ database has been added to the computers of the library recently. It helps students which contain Full text Central and State Acts and judgments of Supreme Court of India and all High Courts.
Activities
The institute has a centre which looks into social issues and hold symposiums, workshops and other events.  The “CENTRE FOR HUMAN RIGHTS AND MINORITIES WELFARE" is aimed at raising awareness of the basic fundamental and human rights of women, backward classes and other minorities. The other centre is the Consumer Protection Empowerment Cell looks into promoting consumerism among consumers against defective designs and unfair trade practices.
Placement
The college has a Placement Cell that is headed by a faculty member of the college. All activities pertaining to campus recruitment are managed by this Cell. Companies are invited to the campus every year. The Cell is also involved in training and counselling students. Personality development programmes are also conducted for the students. The Cell facilitates industry institute interaction on particular occasions.
