National Institute of Fashion Technology,Gandhinagar

The NIFT Campus at Gandhinagar, considered to be perhaps the greenest city in India, was established in 1995 at a temporary campus building allotted by Govt. of Gujarat at Sector 26, Gandhinagar. Later Government of Gujarat allotted a plot of 20,000 sq.mt. land for NIFT Gandhinagar’s permanent Campus near Infocity which became operational in February 2004. An additional 10,000 sq. mt. land was allotted for the Girls’ Hostel, Director’s Bungalow and Staff Quarters.

Campus Infrastructure
  1. NIFT Gandhinagar has state-of-the-art facilities on campus including 25 classrooms/studios, 24 lab workshops, 3 audio visual rooms and 2 IT conference/VC rooms for primary academic activities.  In addition the campus has Resource Centre & Library and Design Studio as additional academic and research facilities.
  2. The campus is student-centric and encourages a diverse variety of student activities that are strongly supported by facilities such as Auditorium (339 seating capacity), Student Activity Centre with amphitheatre, Badminton Court, Basketball Court, Volleyball Court, Cricket Pitch, Table Tennis room, Music Room and Dance room.
  3. The NIFT Gandhinagar Cafeteria “Fuel Station” is considered to be the best amongst all campuses and offers a rich variety of cuisine.
  4. The Campus Auditorium with a seating capacity of around 350 plays host to major events both for NIFT Gandhinagar as well as other organizations.
  5. The on-campus Stationery Shop facilitates regular and easy access to a wide portfolio of stationery and related items for our students.
  6. The Student Hangout Area next to the Student Activity Centre also has a Fitness Area built of recycled material and which was set up with the help of the Border Security Force (BSF), Gandhinagar.

Facilities
The existing campus of NIFT-G which was inaugurated in 2004 is designed to meet the demands of imparting creative education.
Surrounded by other leading National Institutes and lush green environment, the building houses separate theory studios and workshops for each faculty. Students have an access to IT Labs and a very rich Resource Center, which has a rare and a huge collection of books, magazines and samples related to fashion industry. Various sports and cultural activates are regularly held at the campus.
