Mithibai College of Arts

Mithibai College of Arts is located in Vile Parle, Mumbai. It has around 14,200 degree and junior students. The college offers around 35 undergraduate courses. It was established in 1961 by Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal. 50% of the seats at the college are reserved for the Gujarati speaking community. The college has introduced an Honours programme & Performance Improvement programme at Degree level along with in-house CET guidance programme and All Round Development Programme at the Junior college level.

The college ranked 16th for science courses, 15th for Commerce and 20th for humanities courses in India by the India Today magazine in the year 2017.
Library
The college library is known as Jitendra Library. It is one of the best libraries in Mumbai. It is situated on the ground floor and is entirely air-conditioned and supported with modern technologies like Wi-Fi and digital video recording cameras. The library shares its resources with other libraries. Its in-house functions are automated through Libsys software using which users can locate reading material by title, author and subject queries. The library has a total of 79,175 books.
Placements
College  has  a  Placement  Committee  comprising  of  the  Placement  Officer,  the  Trainer,  the Faculties and the Student Coordinators. This committee is the prime force responsible for all the activities of the Training and Placement Cell, providing opportunity for Part Time / Full Time / internship jobs in reputed Organizations to eligible students. The college is also associated with a web portal to assist in the placement program. In addition to Final Placements the College actively encourages students to take up internships and trainee programmes. Activities
The college regularly conducts a talent search in Theatre, Music, Dance, Literary and Fine Arts.
