Admission Criteria & Eligibility

To gain admission into this university:
  • CBSE students should have 96% marks, IGCSE board students - A*AAA levels, and IB board students - above 42 out of a total score of 45
  • Some schools accept one or the other; however, to get into MIT, you should take the ACT or the SAT. SAT scores should be in the 25th/75th percentile form and the average SAT scores needed to get admission is 2000 or above. ACT scores should be 36 and above
  • Students can take the tests they are the most comfortable in the SAT or the ACT and 2 SAT subject tests: one in Math and one in Science. The TOEFL and 2 SAT subject tests: one in Math and one in Science
  • However, the second is recommended for students with lower English-speaking skills. MIT offers no ESL courses; therefore, a TOEFL score of 600+ and 100+ is recommended for the Paper Based Test and the Internet Based Test, respectively. Unfortunately, around 90% of students who apply are rejected.
  • The minimum TOEFL scores are:Minimum Paper Based Test (PBT) Score is  577 and Recommended score is 600+ and Minimum Internet Based Test (iBT) score is 90 and Recommended score is 100+.
  • For early action, the interview-scheduling deadline is October 20th. November 1st is the ultimate deadline for reference letters, essays, and the application itself. For regular action, the deadline to schedule an interview is December 10th. The SAT and ACT tests should be given in November and January, respectively. Admission results are announced by late March.
  • Our SAT and TOEFL code is 3514, and our ACT code is 1858.
