KIIT University - (Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology)

KIIT University formerly Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology or KIIT is an autonomous integrated educational institution located at Shikhar Chandi Road, Bhubhaneswar, Odisha. It was established in 1997 by Noted Social and Educational Mogul, Dr. Achyuta Samanta. The university offers around 35 undergraduate degrees in Art & Design, Technology, Science, Healthcare, Medicine, and Law etc.  It has around 18,000 students. The university is the youngest deemed university in India, and was has featured in the Limca book records for being the youngest deemed university in India, achieving the feat only six years from establishment. It was bestowed autonomy in 2004, by the Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India. Admission to the university is through the KIITEE (KIIT Entrance Examination), an all India level Entrance Examination held by the university.

The university is set amongst a sprawling 25 sq. km land which houses around 20 Wi-Fi enabled campuses, built up with more than 7.5 million sq. ft. built up area. It contains close to 23 constituent schools. The university has students from all over India and around 22 other countries study here. It has a Knowledge Exchange programme running with around 60 universities around the globe.
Placement
The placement cell of KIIT University is called ‘CAAS’ or Career Advisory and Augmentation Services, which handles all placement associated activities. It is run by student volunteers and faculty of KIIT. The Cell invites companies for placements and internships. Apart from organising pre-placement talks, the Cell also provides career guidance and training to students prior to placement tests and interviews. The pre-placement talks and interviews are held on-campus.Placement is one of the advantages that KIIT offers since its inception .It has an impeccable record in campus placement.
