Jagran Lakecity University is located in Bhopal and is a fully government approved state university established by Government of Madhya Pradesh by Act No 22 of 2013 and is recognized by UGC under section 2(f) of Act, 1956. The University was granted its status on 24 April 2013 after being gazette with due approval and order of the Governor of Madhya Pradesh. The University carries forward the 15-year-old legacy of Jagran Social Welfare Society, its promoting body in being a pioneer in provision of quality education in the state of Madhya Pradesh. The courses offered through various schools embody the University’s longstanding commitment to leadership and innovation in higher education. The curriculum for individual course is designed through a blend of input from renowned academicians and industry leaders who are a part of a academic advisory board.

Outstanding learning environment has been created for teaching and research, including state-of-the-art laboratories, workshops, modern lecture theatres and auditoriums. The University's campus is spread across 200 acres. Brand new spaces are added where one can relax, eat and enjoy with friends.The entire campus has Wi-Fi internet connectivity ensuring. Our well resourced library along with e-library enables access to an extensive range of academic resources including books, journals, magazines, online published paper and reports. The fully equipped laboratories, training restaurants, workshops and studios ensure that knowledge gained by students in their respective classrooms can be applied in a practical environment.

Facilities
  • The sports office at the university offers the opportunity to practice, receive training and compete in various disciplines such as football, cricket, basketball, swimming, table tennis to name a few.
  • The university campus houses facilities such as a well equipped gymnasium with a fitness trainer to assist students, a huge hall to facilitate fitness programs such as aerobics, kick boxing, yoga and other classes.
  • The campus boasts of a football pitch, basketball and indoor game room with table tennis, chess & carrom. A half olympic size swimming pool is available to all students along with the provision of an instructor to train students in the sport.
  • The brand new accommodation facilities comprise single, double and triple occupancy with spacious living rooms equipped with DTH Television, Sofa and a small pantry on each floor along with high-speed Wi-Fi access.
  • The university campus also has a food court which has 5 food outlets serving a variety of cuisines and desserts.
  • The student experience is not limited to the physical campus.  JLU provides a variety of opportunities to experience Bhopal City and surrounding regions. A convenient shuttle bus transports students between the campus and many cultural and entertainment hot-spots in the heart of the city.  Special buses are also provided to attend major sporting events, tourist destinations, and concerts.
