JIS Institute of Aviation

JIS Institute of Aviation or ‘Jia’ is a privately owned college run by the JIS Group. The institute was established in 2009 and is affiliated to Indira Gandhi National Open University. It is located at the campus of Dr. Sudhir Chandra Sur Degree engineering college & Sports complex, Dum Dum. The institute offers a single undergraduate degree B. Tech in Aerospace Engineering and has an intake of close to 120 students each year. ‘Jia’ is known for imparting Aerospace Engineering studies. Admission to the institute is through merit, with minimum of 55% marks in 10+2 (General category) with PCM and 50% for students from reserved categories, from any recognised educational board in India.
