IFHE Hyderabad

Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India, commonly known as ICFAI, was established in 1984 in the city of Hyderabad in Andhra Pradesh. It comprises of IBS Hyderabad (Faculty of Management), Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) and Faculty of Law (FOL). It offers 7 undergraduate courses in Business Management, Law and Engineering & Technology.

The selection to the BBA programme is based on merit. Due weightage is given to academic distinctions, achievements in sports and extra-curricular and co-curricular activities. Admission to the B.Tech programme is based on the admission test for ICFAI University Technology (ATIT) which is conducted by ICFAI Institute of Science and Technology. Admission to the BA.LLB course is based on the national-level Common Law Admission Test (CLAT). State Level Law Entrance Test scores are also accepted, but they are not mandatory.

Most of these tests are conducted in May and June and classes commence from August onwards.

Campus

Campus & Infrastructure
The college has a lush green sylvan campus with built-up area of over 10 lakh sq.ft. It is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities like amphitheaters, auditoriums, academic blocks, fully equipped library block, computer center, language lab, hostels, canteen, faculty accommodation, ATM center, sports and recreation facilities.

Lecture theatres and classrooms are designed to facilitate student education. All lecture theatres and classrooms are networked, Wi-Fi enabled and fitted with audio visual tools to enhance the teaching-learning experience. The complete academic monitoring and control is done using internet.
Internship Programs
There are three internship programmes. IP-I and IP-II are each for the duration of two months and are implemented during the summers following the first and second year of study. IP-III is for the duration of five and a half months and is implemented in either the VII or the VIII semester of the final year.

The entire student education during the internship programmes is supervised by faculty and forms a part of the student’s total credits toward their degree.

IBS has adopted a very systematic approach towards building the careers of its students through a Career Management Center that plans and implements the placement activities throughout the year.
Career Management Center (CMC)
The Career Management Center operates under the overall guidance of a Director who leads a team of Managers and executives. CMC personnel visit more than a 1000 top companies across the country every year and have developed strong relationships with them. This interaction with the industry equips the career management team to provide suitable career planning to the students. It also helps to increase recruitments and maintain strong industry contacts. There has also been a steady increase in the compensation and the number of companies recruiting from IBS every year.

Facilities
Computing Facilities
Latest hardware and software infrastructure are provided to cater to the computing needs of all the students and the training needs of information technology related courses. ICFAI Law School center equipped with the required computing facilities and the students are guided by well experienced faculty to handle the computer labs. Leased internet is available to undertake research activities.
Laptop Computers
It is essential that students joining the Integrated BA.LLB.(Hons.), BBA-LLB (Hons.) & LLM Programs need to have their own laptop computers during the study period, since computers are extensively used as part of the curriculum at ICFAI Law School. Hence it is mandatory that students make their own arrangements to bring the same, when they join the program.


Library

  • Library contain a number of reporters and journals such as the All India Reporter, Arbitration Law Reporter, Company Law Journals, Tax Law Journals and many others including International Journals in different areas of law in addition to the text and reference books on all subjects of the curriculum. In addition, it contains law commission reports, draft bills, data bank of decided cases to facilitate the students in their course seminar, clinical and project work.
  • Indian and International books and journals covering all the areas of law to meet the needs of the law students, faculty and research scholars.
  • CD's of case materials, decided cases and forms will also be available in the library.

Guest Lectures
Eminent academicians and practicing legal professionals are invited for guest lectures wherein students get to understand the applications of various laws and management concepts and ideas. Guest lectures are considered as significant learning tools as the students note the experiences of legal professionals directly.
