G.Pulla Reddy Engineering College (Autonomous)

G. Pulla Reddy College of Engineering, popularly known as GPREC is located in the Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh. It was established in the year 1985 and is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Anantapur. The college offers 6 undergraduate courses in engineering and technology.

Admission to these courses is through a merit list prepared on the basis of the score of the candidates in the EAMCET entrance exam. This exam is conducted in the month of May and the results are declared in the month of June. Classes commence from August onwards.

Library
The college library known as the Central Library is equipped with about 31,000 volumes and about 13,300 titles covering the core as well as general subjects. It is fully automated and the database is managed by SLIM++ software. A good collection of titles is earmarked as reference books and a spacious reading room is attached to it. The library subscribes to as many as 90 national and 17 international journals as well as 48 national and international magazines.

The books are arranged and classified according to the Dewey decimal classification scheme. Open access system is followed in the library. All students and staff are members of the library and about 150 persons can use library simultaneously.
Extra Curricular Details
The college has many groups and associations like Vivekananda Study Circle which works with the objectives of universal brotherhood, selfless service to the society and inculcating noble values in youth. Bhuvana Vijayam, a literary and cultural association provides a platform to the students to exhibit their talents in the fields of culture and literature. There is also a ‘Center for Awareness and Discussion’ which works with the objective of familiarising the students with current topics through group discussions and quizzes.
Placement
The training & placement cell of the college is responsible for organising and coordinating all recruitment related activities. Around 150 students get placed through campus recruitment every year. Some of the top recruiters for this college are
