Library
The library collection consists of over 18,000 volumes, 109 periodical subscriptions including 3 periodicals in electronic media and around 25 gifted periodicals. The collection consists of books, reports, conference proceedings, and back volumes of periodicals, standards, theses, CD-ROMs, Floppies and AV materials. Books are arranged according to the Dewey decimal classification. Each row of the racks has been labelled with the range of class numbers in the corresponding row.
Student Activities
G H Patel College of Engineering & Technology (GCET) has language clubs, like Lingua Franca, which provide the platform for group discussion, debate, elocution and mock interviews. The college organises various personality development programmes. The programmes are conducted by the Career Development Centre (CDC), CVM and Globerena Technologies Pvt. Ltd. since 2005. The college also hosts a student counselling cell, which has been formed in the institute as per the guidance of the Chairman, Board of Management, and GCET. The cell is aimed at fostering and nurturing students to excel in academics and to encourage their overall development.
Placements Comments
The college has a placement cell that is headed by a faculty member of the college. All activities pertaining to campus recruitment are managed by this cell. Companies are invited to the campus every year. The cell is also involved in training and counselling students. Personality development programmes are also conducted for the students. The cell facilitates industry institute interaction on particular occasions.
