Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology, Hyderabad

Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology is one of the premier Engineering Colleges in the self-financing category in Telangana. It has been accredited five times in 1998, 2004, 2008, 2013 and 2017 by NBA(AICTE) and accredited second time by NAAC(UGC) 'A' Grade in 2017. It is also the first ISO 9001-2015 certified Engineering Institute of AP & Telangana. The total constructed area is 57,714 Sq.mts (6,21,286 Sq.ft). worth about Rs 75.00 crores spread on 50.8 acres. The grants received from AICTE,UGC,DST,NSTL,DRDO and other Indusrties are worth about Rs. 16.0 crores. The college offers 9 UG and 11 PG programmes. Brilliant and meritorious candidates with top EAMCET ranks are seeking admission in CBIT especially in ECE, EEE, CSE, IT, Mechanical Engineering etc. The pass percentage is consistent with 95% on an average out of which 80% of the students are passing either in distinction or in first class. More than 75% of the students are being placed in world class companies through campus placements. The remaining students are being pursue their higher education or go for Govt. sector jobs.Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology or CBIT is a privately held education and research institution located at Gandipet, Osman Sagar in Hyderabad, Telangana. Ranking
The college has been ranked as 32nd top college in India for Engineering according to Outlook India magazine in 2017.  The college has dropped from its ranking of 29th in 2016.  The college has regularly featured among the top 75 engineering colleges since 2010.  Admission to the college is through the EAMCET, and being part of the top colleges list, one can be assured of tough competition.
Location
The college is located in the extreme western tip of Hyderabad.  The college is located at Gandipet, which is a half an hour drive from Langar Houz.  The college’s remote location can be quite frustrating at times as only a few APSRTC buses (series of 220) serve the area.  Although, the presence of shared autos more than makes up for accessibility, however, one has to reach Langar houz to avail of shared autos. Most of the first year students usually prefer to travel by college buses, before they figure out more convenient ways to reach the college.
Faculty
The college boasts of brilliant faculty, according to students. Most of the core subjects are taught by extremely competent and experienced professors. The approachability of the professors is something that comforts the students.  A fact which was endorsed by a student who said: "In spite of being so knowledgeable and senior, teachers are approachable and friendly".
Hangout
The adjoining areas of the college serve as picnic spots for city dwellers and tourists alike.  The area has boasts of Treasure Island resort which is bang opposite to the college.  Most people like to explore newer ways to trek to Osman Sagar Lake, which is not far from the college.  Other popular student destinations are Golconda Fort, Langar Houz, Pratap (Theatre), eateries in Tolichowki and Inorbit Mall near Madhapur.
Placement
The college provides placement services to the students. The placement cell acts as a single point of contact between the organisations and the students. The cell not only looks into placement of the students, but also looks into the training and grooming of students for interviews.  The cell conducts various mock aptitude tests and seminars to help the students.
In its 18 years of fruitful journey a total of 300 companies visited CBIT recruiting 12002 students from various disciplines. It is our endeavor to share the new milestones of CBIT placement cell which has achieved highest placements in Telangana for the past five consecutive years (2012 -2017). CBIT is indebted to all the corporates who were instrumental in accomplishing its desired objectives.
CBIT placement cell was instrumental in entering into MoU’s with reputed corporate giants like Cognizant, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, CSC, ICICI, Unisys, Global Edcom, IUCEE, TCS, CII, Mahindra & Mahindra, Erricson, in conducting various Industry Institute initiatives.

Objectives:

  • To encourage students to participate in extracurricular activities pertaining to language skills, soft skills and promote organisation strategies within the members.

  • To create space for students to exhibit their students.

  • To encourage leadership and team playing.

  • To build the confidence levels of students and groom them to face both personal and professional challenges. 
     

NSS:
The NSS unit of CBIT has been inaugurated on 29th September 2007 by our principal Dr.B.Chennakesava Rao garu. The main activities of NSS are carried out under the guidance of Mr.B.Sreedhar Rao NSS officer Sr.Asst Prof of chemical engineering.
